Day 01

We will start our expedition to Pinnawala after arriving to the airport. There is a mind-blowing sanctuary park for elephants in Pinnawala where about 85 elephants are currently being under protection. Many local and foreign travellers visit here daily as they can observe and assist the baby elephants. After feeding and bathing the baby elephants we will move to our next destination the Sigiriya rock fortress which was built by King Kashyapa. The paintings depict the nature of art prevailed in the royal palace in the 5th century. In the Mirror wall in Sigiriya nearly about 600 poems composed during the Anuradhapura period could be seen. We will spend the night in the ancient city of Sigiriya and we will provide you with dinner and accommodation.

Day 02

On our second day after having breakfast we will move to Anuradhapura, a splendid city of ancient architecture. The first urbanization in Sri Lanka is reflected in Anuradhapura; this is proved by ancient historical sources such as Mahawanshaya. The city of Anuradhapura was built by king Pandukabaya who was a great leader and a warrior which was later developed by his successors. In Anuradhapura you will be able to visit and worship Buddhist religious places including the temples such as Ruwanweliseya, Samadhi Buddha statue etc, ancient sacred Bo-tree, royal palaces, hospitals, ponds such as Kuttam pokuna and Anuradhapura museum. Dinner and night will be spent in Anuradhapura.

Day 03

After breakfast in Anuradhapura we will move to city of Polonnaruwa which was created by king Vijayabahu. South-east Asian characteristics could prominently be seen in some of the art works created during Pollonnnaruwa era. In Polonnaruwa era there was a successful irrigation system and well-developed art and architecture. During your travel you will be able to visit the ancient Buddhist temples, royal palaces, ponds, and amazing constructions such as Satmahal Prasadhaya, seven storey palace of king Parakramabahu, Lankathilaka image house etc After traveling to Polonnaruwa, we will return back to our cozy hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 04

On our fourth day we will head towards the Kandy city, the most beautiful city which will definitely blow your mind out. Kandy city is the sacred city of all Buddhists living in this world, as the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha is situated in here. After visiting the temple of tooth relic we will head towards the Kandy museum, Matale Hindu Kovil etc You will be mesmerized by the very unique Kandyan culture and you will be able to taste some great Kandyan cuisines for your dinner.

Day 05

On our last day, first we will travel around Kandy city that you will be able to visit the Peradeniya botanical garden where you will be able to witness some endemic plant species to Sri Lanka. After having a splendid noon in Kandy city while doing shopping you will be able to have lunch. After lunch you have to say goodbye to Kandy as we are heading back to the airport. And we are pretty sure that luggage will be heavier than usual due to tons of sweet memories that you collect from Sri Lanka.
